Ways To Manage Financial Stress Effectively

During these days of recession there are many people who are undergoing financial crisis. There are many people who are unemployed, or have a salary deduction every month or many other reasons for which they generally have financial stress. They have stress of managing their funds effectively. They have to manage their bills in the deducted pay check amount. The costs of all the necessary goods are on rise but on the other hand the income or profits are tapering. It has become difficult to draw a line between need and wants.

It has been rightly said that life is too short to cower under a financial stress.

There are different ways which can help you in keeping your financial stress at bay.

  1. Avoid the news channels: It is advised that you should avoid reading newspapers or watching news channels as they do not provide appropriate news especially when it comes to job hunting or recession. Watching the news would make you feel more depressed and will not help you overcome the stress. It becomes difficult to maintain a positive outlook, and stay motivated. If you are looking at a new job it is important to keep your energy levels high and always maintain a positive approach in life. To cope up with the financial stress, you should manage your free time effectively. You can browse through the various search engines to search for job related website, networking groups, researching groups or other activities related to your search. You can speak to like minded people and keep yourself motivated and in a positive frame of mind.
  2. Prepare yourself: Keep your self educated with the various plans to do if you lose your job. You can start by making a list of contacts with name and numbers of placement agencies or companies that you would like to work for. Putting a plan on paper offers mental support of being prepared for the worst times. You can ease the financial stress by making you finance conversation short and to the point only to keep yourself out of the blue. It is important to note the financial goals or money problems that may arise but you should not harp on them either.
  3. Assess your reality: You need to figure out whether you are actually experiencing financial problems or is it just a fear .you can check your current finance situation and understand whether it is secure. You would have to check it relatively because nobody can predict the future requirement of money. If you are able to pay your out going bills on time from your monthly pay check and also keep a small amount as savings then you do not need to worry as you are already creating emergency funds. It is important that you handle the situation realistically to get true information about the situation.
  4. Be positive and stop predicting the future: Being positive is the most important rule that needs to be followed. When you are in positive frame of mind you will realize good things happening around you, but if you send a negative vibration it is difficult for better opportunities to come along your way.

There are many people who predict the future negatively and behave in a manner as if it has already happened or it is imminent.

You will come across many people who do not see their present and are worried about their future which is at distant; they do not enjoy the precious moments of the present and are sad thinking about the future. There are people who are working and fear that they might lose a job or there are others who have foreclosed on their home and are emotionally reacting as they are going to remain homeless for ever.

If you stay positive and motivated you will come across many options and ways to move out of the crisis while with a negative frame you will be drawn more toward depression rather than think about coming out of the situation.

Faith and Finances

What Directions Are You Taking With Your Finances

I want to share with my readers the gift that God has given to me regarding finances. I would like to help you decide what to do with your finances within spiritual and Biblical aspects.

God has entrusted us with all the finances. When it comes to money, biblical principals must come first. First off, God gives us the means to obtain the money(see next segment). We have jobs or businesses were we have an income. This income (finances) help us to buy cars, homes, and provide food for our families; our money allows us to take care of our bare necessities.

Taking care of these necessities with the right financial mindset, means knowing where it all comes from and why. The directions you take regarding your faith and finances will set in motion the blessings needed to be financially successful.

Being a tither, a giver, and a person that takes action in planning (finances, business, life, etc) is a step in the right direction.

Where Does Money Come From?

Your money is a blessing, and it ALL comes from God. He gave you the means to get the job; knowledge, experience, and time. Once you understand this concept deep in your psychic, you will realize that you do not need a financial coach. As a person of faith you only need one or two manuals on finance and the first one is the Bible. If at some point God blesses you with more money than you can hold in a jar, you may need a financial adviser. This adviser will help with your retirement and leaving money behind for your children and/or spouse.

Now that you know where the money comes from, you will understand that you need to sow back into building God’s kingdom. That means, in tithe and offerings for your church home. Some people do not understand the concept of biblical giving; one you are blessed, you need to be a blessing. Are you ready to do what is needed to be continuously blessed.

I am here to help you understand that your spiritual and walk with the Lord will help you figure out your finances.
Stay tuned.

Rights and Freedoms: The U.S. Bill of Rights

The Bill of Rights is a document written to protect the rights of all Americans. It is important that every U.S. Citizen read this document to know what rights are available to them. Citizens will find that most of the original 10 amendments have daily applications, and the knowledge will keep them better prepared for life in general.

The First Amendment

The most recognized amendment, the First Amendment, guarantees that U.S. citizens have the right to free speech, which shares a close relationship to having choice in religion. This was a concept heavily guarded by the founders of the nation, who, having seen tyranny of the English government, sought to prevent beliefs being dictated to the new American citizens. The right to peaceably assemble, and the ability to petition the government are also covered in this landmark amendment.

The Second Amendment

“The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The writing of the Second Amendment has seen quite a bit of controversy since it’s creation over 200 years ago. Modern day groups, such as the National Rifle Association, hold a literal interpretation of the right to bear arms, and contend that this amendment has already been heavily infringed upon. Among their arguments, they complain that the expectation of licensing, registering, and weapon regulation interferes with the ability to bear arms.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is a government office aimed at keeping citizens safe from the most dangerous weapons. The bureau maintains laws to prevent criminals from accessing weapons, as well as laws that prevent unsafe modifications to weapons that are already owned.

The Fourth Amendment

Citizens have the right to refuse unreasonable searches and seizures of their own persons, houses, papers, and effects. Only a warrant allows a government officer into one’s home, and the fourth amendment requires that a warrant describe the objects and people to be found and seized. This protects privacy and property of Americans from tyrannical government, as well as defining a line between public and private ownership.

The Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Amendments

The authors of the Bill of Rights felt that answering for a crime without a trial by jury would compromise justice being served. The Bill of Rights asserts that “all criminal prosecutions” are grounds for a public trial.

Relatively few crimes are tried before a jury today, due to the time and the cost of prosecuting such a large number of cases. Traffic courts, for example, will ask the defendant to waive their rights so that the matter may be resolved within that day. Waiving rights means that the citizen no longer claims the right to a trial by impartial jury for that case, agreeing instead to resolve the matter by following the immediate court judgment.

A thorough understanding of the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Amendment gives citizens the full implications of the rights that they may be asked to give up.

Rights and Freedoms Protected by Knowledge and Understanding

The amendments in the Bill of Rights are important to know so that every citizen can enjoy the protection of rights for themselves, as well as respecting the freedoms of others. To read an archived copy, the document can be found by search or through the link below.

Cash for trash

Our wise have told us long ago that nothing is a waste in this world. Even the most worthless things in this world can be used for some worthwhile purpose. Only you should know how. President Obama introduced this concept with the Cash for Clunkers program of his. You exchange your old inefficient vehicle for a brand new one and you get money for that. With Cash for Clunkers being a hit, dealers from other fields are also following their counterparts from the automobile industry and coming up with offers to buy old disposable stuff from people and offer them good things in return. I hope you know about Department of Energy’s Energy Star program in which you can exchange your old household appliances like refrigerators, air-conditioners for new efficient appliances with the Energy Star label.

Inspired by this concept of converting trash to cash, many garment dealers, toy dealers etc. started offering their goods for old ones. Now you can convert your old CDs, DVDs , books and  iPods into cash as you’re going to get money on exchanging them. This time it’s not the Obama government pushing the projects. Some good dealers have taken it upon themselves to start off this project. Unlike the earlier government programs, this program is not going to take place in real life stores or garages but through online websites. You don’t’ have to carry your material to any sale venue like you did for the cash for clunkers or the energy Star program. You simply have to mail your goods to the websites and they’re going to pay you checks or make money transfers through Paypal. Now that’s a cool deal isn’t it? I think it’s the most convenient thing for you to do, but I wonder if they’ll cover your mailing charges which may turn up to be pretty high. …Hey! I just checked it out and it seems the retailers are going to pay the mailing charges with other services. Now that’s fantastic isn’t it? You really don’t have to worry about anything. You’ve just got to take it to your nearest FedEx venue for mailing your used goods. Now if you’re too lazy for this, there’s very little I can do about it.

Hmmm …so do you think this exchange deal is only about things to your advantage? Of course not! A coin has a flip side too! You might send in your goods in response to a quote made for a certain kind of product. If the dealer’s description does not match that of your used items, the amount of money that they’ll quote or pay for your item will differ from the original quote. For example, if a website promises to offer you $20 for used books, if it finds that your used books are different from what they have specified in their requirements, they are not going to pay the quoted amount. They’re going to pay lesser than what they quoted. The online sites can also reject your mailed goods if they find that you are not paying up some required charges. Well, the advantage that you are going to get from this is that the deals are better than what you’d get by directly interacting with Craiglist or EBay. For mailing books you’d better visit is the website that takes your old CDs.  If you have an old iPod to sell, visit Rapidrepair.

Here are some guidelines for you to see to it that you don’t end up being at a loss because of the whole transaction. First of all, you should see that the website that you’ve chosen to transact with has got a good Better Business Bureau rating. Otherwise you are in for the biggest hassles on your way. You’ll not be paid a fair amount for your old ware or you’ll be charged extra amounts which will surface as hidden costs. If the Better Business Bureau is giving a website under consideration an A grade go for it without any hesitation. But if the grade is not even a B you’d better not try transacting with that website. Visit the BBB customer care officials and find out if the website that you are interested in has any complaints from its users and how the website has resolved those complaints if it has.

It’s always better for you to know the true worth of your used items. Check out for prices at which comparable items are being quoted on EBay, etc. and see if the website that’s buying your old products is doing so at a worthy price.

What you should know when you consider selling your books on Cash4books:

  • The price of used books is determined by their weight and retail values, its demand and the availability. Your text books are going to fetch you more money than paperbacks.
  • You can expect to get anywhere between 57 cents and $120 per book depending upon the salability factors. You can check the quote for a book by entering its ISBN number at the website.
  • Torn and damaged books with lost pages are going to be rejected. This is not one of your trash collectors who’s going to pay you solely on the weight of the books and not on its quality. If you have scribbled something on the books, highlighted or underlined parts, be sure that it’s less than 20 % of your book. Otherwise its going to get rejected for which you’ve got to bear the shipping costs.
